Wonderful and pleasant location with excellent service. Great breakfast, cozy and clean room. The view from the terrace is wonderful. We stayed in the middle of September and the pool was quite cold but that didn't stop us from enjoying sitting by the lake.
Lovely location and very good service particularly from Antonella. The Bella Iseo restaurant was very good - small but excellent menu, very good service and a good wine list but the restaurant in the hotel lacked atmosphere and any meat options for those who do not eat fish. The room was a good size with a small balcony and great view of the lake but the bathroom was too small and the extractor fan didn't work making it very steamy and damp. The hotel is generally well appointed but we thought the planted pots in the terrace room were overdone - less is sometimes more. The biggest downside for us not having hired a car was the inadequate transport in and around - few taxis or buses and lake boats limited.
Amazing hotel with the best views. The staff were incredibly friendly, warm and helpful. The room lacked a few items like a kettle and iron but it was very clean, well designed and a comfortable bed. I will definitely be returning
This was one of my few experiences at a resort-type hotel. The lakeshore location was beautiful. The breakfast buffet could have kept me happily eating for a couple of hours. The only improvement I would suggest is a better way to keep the shower spray from escaping into the remainder of the bathroom, and something to make the shower floor less slippery feeling.
Decor is a bit dated but the room was very comfortable. The hotel is in the perfect position overlooking the lake with Monte Isola in view. Food was lovely. Could do with tea and coffee making facilities in the room.
Would definitely recommend.
Wonderful location, excellent service, delicious food. My one concern is that the floor of the shower was slippery; there was no grab bar: and no rubber mat. Staff did bring extra towels to put on the floor of the shower. That was quite helpful but, of course, not terribly elegant.
One of the best hotels we’ve been (and we’ve been to quite a few). The rooms were great (do take one with a view to the lake), the service outstanding, the adults-only swimming pool a great place to chill sipping Franciacorta, and the location just incredible. Oh, and the breakfast was by far the best in Italy. Salty and sweet, you find it all.
We had a wonderful stay at the Araba Fenice and would definitely recommend the hotel to friends. The room was very good with dramatic views and a small but welcome balcony. The service was excellent, cheerful staff could not do enough for you and the two restaurants are top quality with the Terraza restaurant also providing spectacular views. The infinity pool is very inviting and the areas around the pool offer relaxing and comfortable beds with yet again amazing views of the lake, the island and the surrounding hillsides.
The location is in between Iseo and Sulzano which can be reached either by a fairly lengthy walk or an every 2 hour train from the local Pilzone station. The hotel does offer a shuttle bus but that does come at a rate of 15 euros per person each way, this is one area that the hotel could look at to support guests and take away any location concerns. Overall a wonderful hotel in an idyllic location.
